The revised and technical list of electives should be used by all students entering college in the fall of 2017. The department maintains a 2.25 cumulative grade point average (GPA) requirement for lower technical courses. In order for students to advance to a higher level (usually 300/400 level) in ME or TAM courses, a 2.25 GPA requirement must be met. Failure to meet the 2.25 GPA requires students to retake previous courses and potentially reduce course loads to meet the 2.25 GPA requirement.

As students move into more specialized upper-level courses, the technical cumulative grade point average (TGPA) requirement applies in addition to the traditional cumulative grade point average requirement (>2.0 GPA) to remain without probation. Students who do not have a minimum TGPA of 2.0 will be placed on probation and unable to pass.
