Richardson Isd Calendar 2023-24 – Parents were confused by the calendar the Richardson Independent School District released last week.

So far, options A, B and C have been presented to the board, but the district is seeking parents' input on two test options.

At the Jan. 24 board meeting, RISD's Calendar Committee proposed mandatory minute guidelines in House Bill 2610 instead of mandatory date guidelines. The calendar of minutes must contain at least 75,600 minutes, which is equal to 174 school days.

Option A has a back-to-school date of August 10 and a deadline of May 25. Option B is the same as A except for the 5-day snow weekend. Option C has a back-to-school date of August 16 and a final day of May 26.

The calendar options are asked to select, option A and option C. The key difference between the calendars is the number of days of staff development, but both are proposed to end the 2022-23 school year before the date of commemoration.

The RISD Calendar Committee will present the final calendar to the Board on February 15th at the next board meeting.

This is Fulton's third year participating in the program. In this program, the entire Pre-K through 6th grade community reads the same books and the same reading schedule developed by the district. Read more, they provide resources for students and schools.
