University Of Pittsburgh Academic Calendar 2023-24
Description: The Colorado Summer Seminar of Philosophy is for high-caliber senior students considering graduate study in philosophy. The goal is to introduce students to the atmosphere of a graduate-level seminar and give them the opportunity to explore their philosophical skills and interests before embarking on a graduate program. The theme of the 2022 Summer Seminar is "The Part and the Whole". Each class focuses on a topic related to this topic and is widely understood to include individual and group issues. Depending on your perspective, seminars are either led by teams of at least 10 faculty members or taught from start to finish by a single unit of at least 10 faculty members. Either way, it covers a range of historical and contemporary topics. Topics likely to be covered include:

Lectures are complemented by a variety of extra-curricular events, including talks and workshops on additional topics on topics such as women in philosophy and how to apply for graduate school.
