Cary Academy Calendar 2023-2024 – Community is at the heart of CA and we welcome applications from people who can make meaningful contributions to us.

The first reviewed applications will be due on January 14, 2022. You will need to complete all sections of your application by this date to receive the first assessment for available positions.

Middle and High School applicants who meet this deadline will be notified of their admission decision in early March. Students and families applying after the initial review deadline will be notified of the admission decision on a rolling basis.

This profile will allow our Admissions team to best assist you throughout the application process. High School applicants are encouraged to submit an optional short video, demonstrating how their talent and background can benefit the Cary Academy community. While not required, submitting a video will help our Admissions team get to know you. Further guidance can be found in the applicant questionnaire.

We encourage you to schedule your visit and interview date as soon as possible. Gaps fill quickly and our Admissions team may not be able to accommodate all requests by the first review deadline.

Cary Academy will not be holding an on-site Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) for the 22-23 enrollment season. This year, candidates have the choice of taking the ISEE Test or the High School Admission Test (SSAT) at home, at a Prometric Testing center, or at a school that runs one of the exams. Candidates must complete the ISEE or SSAT on or before the first test deadline. Test dates must be scheduled three (3) weeks in advance with the SSAT or the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). Labs are available, but don't delay – special cases must be scheduled four (4) to six (6) weeks in advance. Copies of ISEE/SSAT test results must be uploaded with the application.

All applicants must submit transcripts for three (3) years of study – including the current academic year. Score reports must be uploaded with the application.

Applicants are also required to submit two (2) confidential referral forms from teaching teachers. One must be completed by a current teacher, while the other may be completed by a recent teacher within the last two (2) years. Also, no more than one (1) additional, non-academic proposal may be submitted.
