Current NYIT students can participate in a monthly payment plan managed by Transact Payments (formerly CASHNet).

All students' BVN will be credited to their student account 2 weeks before the start of each semester registration. Once the "Minimum Required Advance Amount" has been paid, received by New York Tech and posted to the student's account, the system will automatically withdraw the BVN for online registration.

Financial aid will be placed on the student's account if the student has any outstanding balances after these dates:

Bursar Financial Hold will prevent the student's account from registering in the future and/or changing their current schedule. It is the student's responsibility to clear outstanding payments to the BFH automatic removal system.

Students may add and/or drop courses during the Add/Drop period defined in the Academic Calendar and Financial Aid Important Dates.

Add/drop fees will be charged according to the schedule below, unless the waiver results in a complete withdrawal from courses for the semester. Students transferring to zero credits will be considered withdrawn from NYUST and tuition will be applied in accordance with the withdrawal/expulsion refund policy below.

When a first-year student withdraws from the college, he/she must complete a withdrawal form from the Academic Affairs Office. Tuition liability is based on the date of withdrawal and is recorded on the withdrawal form. The 3-credit tuition will be forfeited based on the tuition specified on the latest LOA received.

The federal T2202 tax return is designed for all students paying tuition for eligible programs who are eligible to file their income tax returns. This is used to verify that the student qualifies for tuition fees.

T2202 (Certificate of Education and Enrollment) is issued to students who have paid eligible tuition fees and eligible courses for which income tax refunds are eligible. This table shows eligible tuition paid and the month you were enrolled part-time or full-time.

The NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) offers a unique program designed to retrain physicians born and educated outside the United States to become Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). COM is the only medical school in the United States to offer this type of program, and only on our Long Island (Old Westbury, NY) campus.

A new application is required each year with an updated resume or CV. If you submitted an official WES or GLOBE course-by-course assessment and/or official TOEFL score report for the 2022 application cycle, you do not need to resubmit for the 2023 application cycle. If you retake the TOEFL with a higher score, you must submit an updated official score. Please check your TOEFL score to make sure the test is less than two years old when you apply. Letters of recommendation must not be more than two years old at the time of a new application.

This virtual session will explore strategies for adapting to climate change and explain how communities can improve their resilience and resilience.

This event is free for students, faculty and staff. The registration fee for alumni and community members is $25. All proceeds directly benefit students in the Energy Management program and the School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Dr. Babak D. Beheshti is professor and dean of the NYIT School of Engineering and Computer Sciences (CoECS).

Babak has more than 35 years of experience in higher education, serving as a full-time faculty member, Senate President, Associate Dean, and Dean. As dean of the School of Engineering, Babaker led the school to its first two Ph.D.s. Computer Science and Engineering, two new bachelor's and one new master's degree programs, in addition to leading the college to the fastest rise in national rankings: #33 Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs (National – No Ph.D.) – Up 13 places since 2020, and # 191 Best Undergraduate Program in Computer Science (National – No PhD), new 2021 ranking – more than 40 places as of 2020.

Consistent with his career-oriented mission, Babak leads CoECS in building strong partnerships with industry/government, including NASA, Zscaler, IBM Red Hat, Xilinx, Soter Technologies, and Zebra Technologies.
